As the crepuscular light creates a silhouette of reality, we slumber, dream, and hope to wake up to a new beginning. What if there is no reality? What if life is nothing but waking up to another dream?

This picture was taken in the Labrang Monastery, Ganan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu. I froze the moment where this monk was about to step into the shadow. He was standing at the edge of the darkness, just one step away from the darkest abyss. It creates a sort of Zen atmosphere, which intrigued me a lot.

Few people are awake to witness the first few rays of the sun at 6am in the middle of the summer. This was my first time watching the sunrise and I was amazed at the peace this moment brought me. As I watched this new day begin, I felt like everything was possible and wondered if there were people sleeping in this sailboat, still unaware that a new day, full of new opportunities, had begun.
